About Our Doggie Daycare Services:
Green Mountain Dog Camp is unique in our doggie daycare services:
- For your convenience, we will pickup and drop-off your dog at your house or at another convenient location throughout the Dog River (Northfield, Vermont) and Mad River Valleys (Warren, Vermont)
- Our daycare is four hours of highly supervised play in nearly 2-acres of secure, enclosed runs
- Nationally certified positive reinforcement dog trainer on duty at all times. Basic obedience skills taught and reinforced daily
- We operate year-round Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and only cancel in the case of a severe storm. In 2022, we only canceled daycare twice and pride ourselves on reliable and dependable service
- All dogs entering daycare are carefully screened in an evaluation to ensure temperament. In addition to standard vaccinations, all dogs are required to have the Bordatella vaccine.
- All daycare dogs are required to have a basic level of training including recall. We will communicate with you if we notice any behaviors that need improvement, and we may ask you to attend a class or schedule a private lesson.
- We offer 15-minute private training sessions during daycare with a professional dog trainer to focus on specific behaviors
- Mountain hikes with dogs who are able to be off-leash
- Small doggie daycare in a separate enclosed run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for puppies and smaller dogs

Basic Skills
In daycare, we continually reinforce basic behaviors such as recall, sit , down, and stay at camp. If more advanced skills are needed, we offer short private training sessions for an additional charge.
Socialization
If you are weary about socializing your dog with other dogs or with other people, let us help you. All of our dogs are very social and have a safe temperament for daycare. Although accidents do happen, our daycare is highly supervised so that energy levels do not rise too high. We are experts at dog body language and can help your dog learn to act appropriately alongside other well-socialized dogs.
Boundary Setting
If you would us to help your dog learn boundaries from other dogs, we can help. If your dog gets to excited playing with others or they don't seem to pick up on social cues, we can make sure your dog learns to play appropriately with other dogs.
Fear/Anxiety
If your dog is excessively fearful or anxious, your dog may benefit from short frequent visits with our dogs in daycare. Often times when dogs are able to meet safe, well socialized dogs, they overcome their fearfulness and become less anxious in general, especially on walks.
Exercise
We are here to get your dog some serious exercise. If you work all day or are unable to walk your dog enough, we are here to help. In all kinds of weather, we ensure your dog a safe and tiring social session with other dogs so you can just relax at the end of the day.
