Calm Focus Foundations are offered on Wednesdays and are designed for reactive, anxious, or easily overwhelmed dogs. These sessions focus on emotional regulation and building handler confidence in a very calm, low-distraction environment. Training begins with human-first learning using my trained dogs, allowing you to develop skills and understanding without pressure before involving your own dog. Your dog’s participation is always optional and gradual, based on what feels safe and appropriate. Sessions are private, one client at a time, last 90 minutes, and move at a supportive, slow, and pressure-free pace. If group classes have ever felt like too much for you or your dog, this is often a reassuring and effective place to start.

Single session (90 minutes): $175
3-session package: $510

Skills Intensives take place on Fridays and are designed for stable, non-reactive dogs who are ready to focus on skill development and teamwork in a calm, low-distraction setting. These private sessions support progress toward goals such as Canine Good Citizen (CGC), service dog foundations, therapy dog preparation, and trick dog skills, without the pressure of group classes. Your dog is actively involved throughout the session, with training tailored to your goals and your dog’s learning style. Sessions are private, one dog at a time, last 75–90 minutes, and follow a structured yet thoughtful pace that prioritizes clarity, confidence, and enjoyment. If you enjoy training and are excited to work toward specific skills or future evaluations, this focused Friday format is an excellent fit.

Board & Train is a short-term, immersive training option for dogs who benefit from consistent daily structure, calm routines, and focused skill development. This program is intentionally limited and individualized, with dogs living in a home environment rather than a kennel setting.
Board & Train is best suited for:
Reactive dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis to ensure the experience remains safe and supportive for everyone involved.
How the program works:
This program is not a “quick fix.” It’s designed to create clarity, confidence, and good habits that owners can continue after the stay ends.

Because space is limited, availability is restricted and requires an initial consultation to ensure this program is the right fit.

If your dog lunges, growls, snaps and barks at other people and/or dogs, you most likely have a reactive dog, previously referred to as an aggressive dog. Our reactive dog training is based on scientifically-proven methods and is highly successful in managing these behaviors. Whether you have an anxious puppy who is nervous about strangers or a large breed dog that appears aggressive, we can help you gain confidence in training your dog and managing their reactive behavior, all without force. These lessons are taught mainly on Fridays.

Start your puppy off with solid foundations and quickly learn ways to engage your dog physically and mentally. You will learn how to train your puppy using only positive methods, and enjoy seeing how fast your puppy shows progress.

Whether you need help with basic behaviors or you want to focus on some problems you may be having a home, we can design a program that can meet your needs. Home visits are also available when necessary at additional cost. These lessons are taught mainly on Fridays.

Puppy Camp is designed for puppies up to 1 year old and builds solid foundational behaviors. If puppies attend all 6 classes, they are eligible to take the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test during the final class. More information can be found at AKC.org. This class is taught year-round on Fridays and Saturdays.

Basic Camp is designed for dogs 1 year and older and also includes building solid foundational behaviors. This six-session class will culminate in taking the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. More information can be found at AKC.org. This class is taught year-round on Saturdays.

If you want to install either an electric fence or a physical fence for your property, we can help you decide what material is best for you and help you with ordering the proper materials from the best companies. This price includes a telephone consultation, home visit in Northfield, Vermont, and research. It does not include the cost of the actual materials, labor or installation.

If you would like to adopt a shelter puppy/dog, and you would like some assistance choosing the right fit for your family, I can help. Through a phone conversation and a few back and forth texts, I can work with my rescue and shelter connections to find dogs who are prescreened for temperament and personality.

If you want to improve communication with your dog while having a lot of fun, this course is for you! Rally-FrEe is an amateur canine performance sport that combines the structure of Rally-Obedience with the creativity of Canine Musical Freestyle. This class is taught inside in the late fall/winter sessions.
My teaching technique involves teaching you how to train your dog and requires a significant time and energy commitment on your part. Because each person is different in these aspects, no refunds will be issued after our first session/class together. Refunds will be issued according to the following scale: cancellation with 30 days notice 100% refund minus $25 service charge; cancellation with 14 days notice 50% refund; cancellation within 24 hours of scheduling 100% refund minus $25 service charge; no refunds will be given after our first session/class together.
